Got told my screenshots were 'too busy' by a graphic designer friend

I used to cram every filter and sticker I could find into my phone edits, thinking more was better. A friend who does design work said my last one looked like a flea market exploded on screen. Now I stick to one filter and maybe crop out the background clutter instead of hiding it. Has anyone else had to dial back their style after someone called it out?

A buddy once told me my old MySpace page looked like a digital yard sale. I had autoplay music, a flashing background, and like eight different cursor trails. Dialed it back to just a solid color background and a single profile song after that. Sometimes you need someone to tell you your car has too many bumper stickers before you realize it.

Four different cursor trails is wild lmao. I had a phase where I kept adding more and more stuff until my page took like 30 seconds to load on dial-up. Sometimes we all need that reality check.
