My first DIY phone screenshot had my thumb in it for 3 days before I noticed
Was trying to crop out my messy desk in a photo of my receipt. Spent like 20 minutes zooming and rotating. Showed my friend Sarah the final version. She said "nice thumbprint" and I looked closer. Yep. My entire left thumb was right there in the corner. Totally missed it. Has anyone else spent way too long on a terrible edit and still messed up?

Hang on, how long did it take you to actually figure out where your thumb was in that photo? Like did you have to zoom back in and trace the edges of your receipt just to see it? I mean I could see missing a thumb if it was the same color as the counter or something, but you said it was a thumbprint which is pretty unmistakable once you actually see it. Was it like one of those moments where you feel dumb but also kind of impressed at how oblivious you were? Idk man, sometimes I wonder if we get so focused on the main part of the picture that our brains just shut off for the corners.
