Changed my mind about single-topic zines
I used to think zines that only cover one subject were boring compared to the mix-tape style ones. But I picked up a 24-page zine called "Bike Commute Stories" at a Philly distro last month and it totally changed my mind. The whole thing was just different people's experiences riding to work, and the focus made each story hit harder. Anyone else find that narrow focus works better for certain topics?

Did you find the commuter angle worked better than expected?

Yeah the tight focus makes every story feel way more personal somehow.

Yeah the tight focus actually made it better. I grabbed a zine once that was just about people's favorite bus stops and each story hit way harder than the random mix stuff I usually pick up.
