Just realized how much my zine's paper quality tanked after switching suppliers
My last batch from 'Budget Paper Co.' feels like newsprint and the ink bleeds, compared to the 80lb cover stock I used for years. It happened over two months because my old supplier closed. Anyone have a good source for decent, affordable paper in the Midwest?

Honestly that newsprint feel might be a vibe for some zines. A lot of indie stuff goes for that rough, cheap look on purpose. Bleeding ink can add character, makes it feel handmade. Maybe your readers won't even care as long as the content is good. You could just roll with it and save the cash.

Exactly, that's the whole charm of it.
