My friend swore I should only use a photocopier for my zine, but hand-stamping 50 copies gave it way more soul.

Man, isn't that always how it goes with these projects? You start out thinking it'll be simple, then before you know it you're two days deep and questioning your life choices (ask me how I know). It's like people don't talk about how most stuff in life that's worth doing kinda sucks while you're doing it.
