My zine collating party turned into a paper jam nightmare

Spent all last Saturday trying to print and staple 50 copies of my new art zine, but my old printer gave up after 12 pages. Had to run to the library downtown with a USB drive, and their stapler broke halfway through. Ended up hand-sewing the last 15 copies with dental floss at 2 AM. Anyone else have a zine assembly day that just completely fell apart?

I finally just started using binder clips, way less stressful than staples.

The real game changer is using the small 19mm binder clips for single sheets. They apply even pressure without bending the paper like a staple can, and you can actually read what's under the clip.

Switched to binder clips last year after a stack of papers slipped and gave me a papercut that got INFECTED. The doctor was like "how did this even happen" and I had to explain it was a stapled document that practically attacked me. Now I keep binder clips in EVERY bag and drawer. Even clipped one to my keychain once so I wouldn't lose it. Honestly they're like tiny little hugs for your papers.
