Hit 500 drafts in my portfolio and it caught me off guard
I was sorting through old files last night and realized I've got 500 finished drafting projects saved on my hard drive. That number surprised me because I never thought to count them before. Most are residential floor plans I've done over the past 5 years for a small firm in St. Louis. A bunch are revisions that never got built, but still took hours of work. I even found one from a tiny house project that only ended up being 8 feet wide. Has anyone else ever gone back and counted up their total projects?

500 finished projects is a serious number. I bet most people never add it up like that because it can be a little depressing to see how many hours went into stuff that never got built. That tiny house at 8 feet wide sounds wild though, I've seen plans for those and they make you rethink how much space you actually need. It's easy to lose track of the real count when you're just churning through revisions for years.

Yeah I definitely feel that. I had a client once who wanted 12 versions of the same garage before they decided to just build a shed instead. It's rough but honestly those little projects add up fast once you start counting everything.
