My drafting tablet decided to reboot right as I saved a huge file
I was just finishing a detailed mechanical drawing for a client. The screen went black and it started a system update, corrupting the file (you can imagine my panic). What's your most annoying tech glitch while working on a project?

That file corruption thing made me totally rethink cloud saves, man.

Hey @michaelw75, did your cloud save mess happen with a game or just random? I got burned once when a file went bad and lost hours of work. My fix was to start making local backups on a cheap hard drive every few days. It adds a step, but now I sleep better knowing I have a fallback. Cloud saves are still useful for grabbing files on the go, but I double up after that scare. Basically, I treat the cloud like a convenience, not my only safety net.

Lost hours of work? That's the real nightmare. I once had a single corrupted save wipe out an entire weekend of progress in a strategy game. It wasn't just time, it was all those little plans I'd set up. I don't trust anything fully now.
