Saw a rookie drafter using a plotter from the 90s...

I was over at a buddy's shop in Portland last Tuesday helping him clean out some old files and this kid fresh out of trade school pulled out a dusty CalComp plotter from storage. He actually wanted to hook it up and use it for title blocks, said the new stuff feels too digital and disconnected. It got me thinking about how we used to run those things for hours, listening to them screech across the paper, and now everyone just prints PDFs from a tablet. Has anyone else noticed the new guys getting curious about the old gear we left behind?

Last summer I had a new guy insist on setting up an old blueprint machine.

Read an article the other day about how some firms are actually pulling old plotters out of storage for specific jobs. Said there's a weird nostalgia factor with the younger crowd.
