Serious question, how do you cope when a project drags on for months?

This one detail drawing has been stuck in review hell since spring, and I'm still waiting on approvals. It's killing my momentum and making me dread opening the software. Anyone have a way to stay motivated during these long waits?

Have you tried talking to whoever is holding up the approval to find the real blocker? Sometimes breaking the review into smaller chunks you can get signed off piece by piece can help. It might get some forward motion going again.

Talking to them and splitting the work into parts saved my project once.

Yeah, breaking it down is key. I had a design review stuck for weeks until I sent just the user flow diagrams first. Got that green light, then moved to the UI mockups. It feels less overwhelming for them to sign off on bits at a time.
