The amount of people who don't set their UCS before starting a drawing is wild

I keep seeing drawings come across my desk where the model is drawn at some crazy angle or way off in space. It's always because someone started sketching in the default view without setting their User Coordinate System first. I had to fix a whole set of shop drawings for a steel frame last month where every single elevation was tilted 15 degrees. It took me a full day to rotate and realign everything. It's such a basic step that saves so much headache down the line. How do you guys make sure your UCS is set right before you dive into a new project?

That 15-degree tilt sounds brutal, what's your actual first step to set the UCS?

A full day just to fix that? That's insane (and honestly, kind of painful to think about). It's crazy how one skipped step can waste that much time later. I just always make it a rule to pick my starting plane or line first, before I even draw a single thing. It's like putting on your seatbelt, you just do it without thinking.
