Had a suction line clog on the Ohio River that almost shut us down
We were pulling up gravel near Cincinnati when the pump pressure spiked and the whole rig started shaking. Turned out a piece of tire and some roots had jammed the 12-inch line solid. We had to reverse the flow and blow it back out, which took about three hours. Anyone have a better trick for clearing that kind of junk without losing so much time?

You said you reversed the flow to blow it back out. That's usually called a backflush, just for the record. Not a bad way to handle it, honestly.

Yeah my buddy tried that once after @the_logan mentioned it, ended up with a face full of old coffee grounds.
