Had a suction line clog on the Willamette last month that taught me a lesson

We were pulling up a lot of woody debris near the Ross Island Bridge and the pump pressure dropped to nothing. I shut down, cleared the intake with a hand rod, and found a solid mass of roots and plastic bags about three feet in. Has anyone else had luck with a different type of cutter head for that kind of mix?

Try a dual-stage cutter head with hardened teeth for that junk. It chews through roots and wraps way better than a standard head.

How much extra does that head cost, @grant_martinez51?

Used to think a cheap head was good enough, but watching that dual-stage chew through stuff changed my mind completely. Might be worth the extra money for how much faster it goes.
