TIL the hard way about silt curtains in a fast current

Last week on the Columbia River near Astoria, we skipped setting a full silt curtain because the foreman said the current was 'manageable'. The turbidity spiked over 300 NTU in an hour and we got slapped with a violation. Anyone have a curtain brand that actually holds in a 4-knot flow?

Tell me about it, our last site got shut down for the same thing.

Wait, isn't 4 knots way past 'manageable' for most curtains? I've seen even the heavy-duty ones struggle over 2.5, so maybe the issue was the plan, not the brand. That's rough for you and @ross.william getting hit with violations over this.
