Bought a $400 corner roller for a big job, still not sure about it
Had a huge commercial space with miles of outside corners, so I grabbed one of those fancy corner rollers. It did the job in half the time, but the finish needed a lot of extra sanding to look right. Would you guys just stick with a knife and a steady hand for that kind of work?

Nah, that extra sanding time is a deal breaker for me. Freehand with a knife might be slower but you get it right the first time.

Wait, you get it right the first time every single cut? I've messed up way too many pieces to believe that... freehand just leaves so much room for error.

oh man, i gotta jump in here and say freehand is definitely not getting it right the first time for me @stone.barbara. i've been there, down a piece and wasted material. sanding might take a bit but at least you can fix your mistakes, with a knife you're just hoping and praying. plus a good sanding session gives you time to chill and think about the next step.
