My mud box blew a gasket mid-job yesterday

Was taping a bedroom in a new build and the rubber seal on my Bazooka just gave out. Mud was dripping everywhere, had to stop and clean it up with a rag for 20 minutes before I could finish. Anybody have a fix for those seals or is it time to just buy a new box?

I'd just buy a new box honestly. Those rubber seals on the Bazooka are a pain to replace and never seal right again. Had one go bad on a job last year and tried fixing it with caulk. Lasted maybe two days before it leaked worse. Saves you the headache to just swap it out.

Right? I tried the caulk trick once too and man what a disaster. It held for like a whole afternoon then just kinda... gave up. I swear the water found a way to sneak out through the caulk like it was a secret spy mission. Now I just tell myself the extra money for a new box is paying for my sanity. Because the LAST thing I need is another leaky mess to deal with on a Saturday morning.
