Shoutout to the crew I saw at the big apartment job in Phoenix last month. They were using a 4 foot mud pan for taping the long seams.

I was there for a different unit and just watched for a minute. They were flying through it. No constant reloading of the hawk. I tried it on a long hallway ceiling the next week. Game changer for speed on those runs. Anyone else use the big pans for certain jobs, or is it just a hassle to clean?

Yeah, the big pan is a game changer for those long runs... reminds me of a crew I saw using a garden trowel for tight corner beads once.

Saw a guy use a putty knife for drywall mud on a curved arch once... pure madness.
