That old timer on site last week flipped my whole method for taping inside corners
Used to always cut my paper tape to length beforehand, but watching him pull it straight off the roll and bed it in one smooth motion convinced me to try it his way, and now I'm going faster with way less waste... has anyone else switched up a basic habit after seeing someone else's workflow?

Whoa, slow down there. Is it really that big of a deal? I mean, I've been cutting my tape to length for like ten years and it works fine. Sure, pulling it off the roll sounds cool but there's no way it saves that much time. You're probably just psyching yourself out. I'd say stick with what you know unless you're actually wasting a whole roll of tape every day.

You know, that whole "psyching yourself out" thing reminds me of when I used to insist on sharpening my pencils with a razor blade instead of using a sharpener. I was convinced it gave me better control and saved lead. Turns out I was just making a mess on my desk and wasting ten minutes a day. Not saying your tape method is like that, but sometimes we get stuck in our ways for no good reason. What if you timed yourself both ways for a week and saw the numbers? Might surprise you.
