Tried mudding a ceiling solo and ended up with a 5 pound blob in my hair
I was doing a 12x12 bedroom ceiling in Des Moines last Tuesday and got the board hung fine but when I started taping the butt joints, my pan slipped off the stilts and dumped a glob of hot mud right on my head, and I had to scrape it out with a putty knife before it set while my helper just stood there laughing.

Oh man, "blob in my hair" is putting it lightly (I've been there). Next time, if you're working solo, keep a spare bucket or a trash bag ziptied to your belt loop so you can dump your pan into it if it tips. Also, wrap your head in a painters cap or a bandana before you start taping overhead (I learned that one the hard way too). Hot mud sets fast, so if it does land on you, hit it with a wet sponge before scraping don't try to dig it out dry. Your helper laughing is the worst part though (makes you wanna hand them the stils and say "your turn").
