Wasted $300 on a fancy self-leveling compound I didn't need

I tried using that LevelQuik RS stuff for a basement floor last month. Realized halfway through the job that regular mud would have worked fine for the tiny dips I was filling. Now I got a half-used bag that's gonna harden in the garage. Anyone else fall for the marketing on expensive levelers when basic compound does the trick?

Bought a 50lb bag of self-leveler for a 1/8 inch dip in my laundry room. Felt real smart pouring expensive watery concrete where a bucket of cheap patch would've worked. Now it's a $300 lesson in reading the damn label first.

@linda_mason82 not to pile on but that 50lb bag of self leveler probably ran you closer to $45 not $300. Unless you bought a whole pallet or something. Either way yeah, overkill for a laundry room.
