That time a tree limb crushed my work truck at my own house

I live in a neighborhood in Greenville SC with these huge old oaks. Last month one dropped a 3 foot limb right on the hood of my F250 at 3am. My neighbor yelled at me for not trimming it sooner like he told me to. I got a quote for 1800 bucks in body work which sucks but honestly the tree was healthy it was just bad luck. Anyone else get blamed for stuff that was totally random?

What exactly did your neighbor say when he yelled at you? Feel like there's more to that story than you letting on. Did he actually warn you about that specific tree or just give you generic yard advice.

My old neighbor Mr. Henderson once screamed at me for like 10 minutes because he saw me trimming a branch off my maple tree that was touching his garage. He claimed I was "murdering the tree's soul" or something bizarre like that. Turns out he was a retired arborist who thought I was going to butcher the whole crown. A week later a different branch fell on his car during a storm and he never mentioned tree souls again.
