Found a food court fountain that still had water and plants growing in it last Tuesday
I tried counting the dead plants in the planters near the old Orange Julius and realized the fountain was the only thing still running, so I tossed in a penny and made a wish for the mall to get some kind of revival. Has anyone else found weird signs of life in these dead zones, like a vending machine that still works or a janitor who just keeps the lights on out of habit?

Oh man, the old Orange Julius planters bring back memories. Last time I was at a dead mall I found a working pay phone in the hallway by the bathrooms. Someone had taped a little sign next to it that said "still connects to the outside world." I actually picked it up and heard a dial tone. Felt like I found a time capsule.

I hear you @troykim, but dead malls just feel sad to me. Pay phones and old planters aren't nostalgic, they're just reminders of stuff that's gone.
