Question about mall directory maps: used to memorize them as a kid, now I just pull out my phone.
I remember walking the Boulevard Mall in Las Vegas back in 1995 and my brother and I would race to the directory to plan our route, but now when I hit the Galleria at Sunset last week I just opened Google Maps without even glancing at the kiosk - has anyone else stopped using those old maps entirely, or do you still find them useful for some reason?

Stood at the directory in the mall last week staring at it for a solid minute before realizing I was just pretending to read it out of habit. Couldn't find a single store without pulling out my phone anyway. My kid thought I was having a stroke or something. Guess I'm officially old now.

Mall directories are basically DECORATION now. I caught myself doing the same thing at Target last week, standing there like a statue in front of a map I couldn't read because the print is so small. My teenager literally took a picture of me for posterity. We are officially the generation that uses paper maps for show.
