Debate: is spray foam insulation actually worth the hype? I'm torn after my attic project
I spent $1,800 on spray foam for my attic in Edmonton last fall and my heating bill dropped maybe $30 a month. But my buddy swears by the old fiberglass batts he put in for $400 and says his house is just as warm. So did I waste my money on the fancy stuff or did I make a solid long term bet? Has anyone else here regretted spray foam or seen huge savings years down the road?

Nah, you got ripped off, spray foam is overpriced and can actually trap moisture and rot your roof.

My buddy Mike got spray foam done in his attic a few years back. Ended up with mold behind the drywall, cost him like 8 grand to tear it all out and redo it with regular fiberglass.
