Pro tip: I was wrong about spray foam insulation in my old Bonnie Doon house
I always thought it was just a pricey gimmick, but after a cold snap last January, my friend convinced me to try it in my attic. The guys from Foam Comfort did it in one day, and my heating bill dropped by almost $80 the next month. Anyone else in Edmonton have a good experience with a specific insulation upgrade?

Was it Foam Comfort that did your place? They did my garage workshop last fall and it made a huge difference. I can actually work out there in winter now without a space heater blasting the whole time.

My $80 drop is pretty close to what you saw. I did the attic in my Capilano house last March and the furnace definitely cycles way less now. The whole upstairs used to be a good 5 degrees colder than the main floor, now it's maybe 1 degree off. No more waking up to ice building up on the inside of my bedroom window either. Foam Comfort did good work for me too, they sealed up all the gaps around the ducts really well.

My neighbor in Glenora had a similar shock with her old bungalow. She finally got the attic done after years of drafty winters and her furnace basically stopped running non-stop. The change was honestly pretty wild for such a simple fix.
