That cheap spray foam from Home Depot cost me $600 in cleanup

I used the big canisters of Great Stuff on my basement rim joists and it expanded way more than expected, dripping all over my new concrete floor. Had to pay a guy with a grinder to scrape it all off. Anyone else have trouble with that stuff getting out of control?

Have you actually used it on a real project though? I get the initial shock when it starts oozing everywhere but once you figure out how much you actually need it's pretty manageable. The key is just cutting the tip smaller than you think you need and moving fast. It definitely has a learning curve but once you get the hang of it the stuff is incredible for sealing up gaps that nothing else can handle.

Nailed it with the tip cutting trick. Once you get that down it's a whole different beast.
