That fancy German window warranty I rolled my eyes at saved me $2,800 last month

I thought a 20 year warranty on triple-pane windows was just marketing fluff when we built our house near Sherwood Park back in 2018, but one seal failed and they covered everything including labor and the new pane. Has anyone else had a manufacturer actually come through on a long term promise like that?

Wow, they actually covered that? That's wild.

Oh man, that's awesome! I had the exact opposite happen - bought a "lifetime warranty" on a camp chair and when the leg snapped, they said it didn't cover "normal use." Like, what else am I supposed to do with a chair? Glad your windows worked out way better than my camping gear. Guess I should've gone with the fancy German option instead of the $20 special from Canadian Tire!

Double down on that camp chair story. Those "lifetime" warranties always have a loophole big enough to drive a truck through. Manufacturers bank on you giving up before you actually file a claim.
