I just finished a 2,800 sq ft house where the low-voltage runs for the lighting control system took three times longer than the standard 120V rough-in, and I'm wondering if the extra hassle for us is worth the convenience for the homeowner.

Totally feel that, @phoenixgreen. I had the same thing happen last week when my internet cut out right before a big game update. Spent an hour on the phone just to find out I hadn't paid the bill. Classic me problem, honestly. It's amazing how often the issue is just sitting right here in my own chair.
