PSA: I picked a 12/2 MC over EMT for a basement rewire last month

The job was a full basement finish with a lot of bends, and the MC saved me about 4 hours of bending time. Has anyone else switched to MC for similar jobs, or do you still prefer conduit for basements?

Yeah, saving 4 hours on bends is the whole game. I did the same thing on my last basement, all those tight corners around footings. EMT looks clean but MC gets the power on and the drywall guys moving way faster. As long as you're not in a wet location, it's a solid call.

Totally agree, MC is a lifesaver in those cramped spots. I used it to snake around a bunch of support posts and it saved my sanity. Finished that rough-in in half the time it would've taken with pipe.
