Rant: That $60 Klein meter that saved my butt on a service call

I grabbed a Klein CL800 clamp meter on sale for about 60 bucks last month, thinking it'd be a backup. Yesterday I'm out on a residential job, main panel is throwing weird readings on my old Fluke. Pulled out the Klein, clamped it on, and found a loose neutral within 2 minutes that my Fluke was totally missing. Has anyone else had a budget meter catch something their expensive one missed?

Last month my buddy Mark was chasing a phantom voltage drop on a 3-phase blower motor. He spent an hour with his high-end Fluke getting nowhere. My other friend @avery_walker30 handed him his old Klein CL800 as a joke, and Mark found a nicked wire inside the disconnect in under 30 seconds. Still bugs him to this day.

Eight months ago I would've said stick with Fluke no matter what. But after watching a buddy find a bad breaker with his Klein while my meter read fine, I grabbed the CL800 as a backup too. Now I keep it in my truck for exactly these kinds of weird ghost problems.
