That awkward moment when a homeowner insists on using antique testers
During a service call, the client pulled out his grandfather's voltage tester from the 1950s. It was a beautiful piece, but completely unreliable for modern systems. We had a good laugh about it, but it showed me how much gear has improved. In the past, we used what we had, and trust came from handshakes, not digital readings.

Old tester from the 50s? Crazy. Beautiful but useless now. Modern systems need better gear. Trust used to come from a handshake. Now it's all about the reading. You handled it right with a laugh.
