Visited an old theater in Savannah and saw they ran all the stage lighting conduit in the basement ceiling joists.

It kept everything accessible but hidden, and the head electrician told me they've never had a single code issue in 30 years, so has anyone else used that trick for commercial jobs?

Yeah, "never had a single code issue" is the dream. I saw a similar setup in a renovated church, and the inspector loved it because you could trace any run without tearing up walls. Some places just get it right.

Wait, no code issues in thirty years? That's wild, I've never seen that pass inspection around here.
