Can we talk about the mess after fixing a laptop with liquid damage?

I just finished a repair where soda got all over the motherboard. Cleaning that sticky gunk took forever and I had to replace three tiny parts. Why do clients never tell you the full story when they drop it off? Now my bench is a wreck and I'm behind on other jobs.

How do you deal with that? A quick wipe with white vinegar worked AMAZINGLY for me.

Ugh, the sticky gunk is the worst part... it gets into everything. I had a coffee spill last week that looked simple until I opened it up. Totally get why your bench is a wreck. @hernandez.dylan might be onto something with the vinegar, I usually just use alcohol but that sticky mess needs extra work. It's like the sugar just welds the dust right onto the board.
