Cat sneeze on my board turned me into a fume extractor believer
Tbh, I always thought those fancy fume extractors were a waste of cash. I'd just solder near an open window and deal with the smell. One day, I was fixing an old radio and the solder smoke got so thick I started coughing like crazy. My cat ran in, took one whiff, and sneezed right onto the circuit board. I had to clean cat snot off the parts while wheezing. Now, I have a small extractor on my bench, and it's a huge help. Honestly, it saves so much hassle and keeps the air clear.

Honestly, that's the exact moment you realize how harsh that smoke really is. Tbh, I started using one after my eyes wouldn't stop watering, and it made a huge difference.

My dog started sneezing nonstop during campfire season last year.

My old labrador gets the same watery eyes near bonfires. I keep a spray bottle with saline solution by the back door now. A quick rinse helps him a lot.
