Ordering a replacement screen took longer than the actual repair
I needed a specific LCD for a vintage monitor. The supplier promised two-day shipping, but it got lost somewhere. Three weeks later, it showed up with the wrong connector type. I had to rig it up with jumper wires just to get it running.

Honestly it feels like half of modern life is just doing patch jobs because something got delayed or shipped wrong. You order something with two day shipping but it takes a week, or flat pack furniture is missing one bracket. Ngl we're all just out here jury-rigging solutions until things sort of work.
