PSA: I tried fixing a 2018 MacBook Air with a $20 heat gun and the whole board warped.

I thought a quick, low heat pass would reflow a GPU chip, but it bent the board so bad the trackpad wouldn't click, so is a cheap heat gun ever okay for board repair or should we all just save for a proper rework station?
