Serious question, I used to avoid fixing those cheap $20 LED strips because the solder points were so tiny.
Now I use a magnifier lamp and a fine tip, and I fix them all the time. What's a repair you used to skip that you've changed your mind on?

Those aren't solder points, they're just tiny pads for conductive glue.

I read a repair guide for old calculators that said some early LCD screens used conductive epoxy instead of solder. The glue was carbon based and could crack over time, making the display fail. It's a real pain to fix because you can't just reheat it like normal solder. That's probably why so many of those old devices have dead segments now.
