Hit 500 elevator inspections this week and it hit me different

I was going through my paperwork on Tuesday and realized I just did my 500th inspection since I started my own company back in 2019. That's a lot of doors opening and closing, man. It made me think about all the little quirks I've seen across different buildings around St. Louis. Has anyone else ever kept count of something like that and been surprised by the number?

You're keeping count of elevator inspections? That seems a little extra honestly... 500 is a lot but most people would just lose track after the first few dozen. Is this like a milestone you actually celebrated or just something you noticed on a Tuesday? I guess if you're proud of it then whatever but it's still just doors opening and closing at the end of the day.

You ever had one of those numbers just sneak up on you like that? I kept a tally of how many houses I remodeled over ten years and when I hit 200 it really made me step back and think about all those kitchens and bathrooms. It's funny how the little stuff adds up without you even noticing.
