Tbh, switching to a digital inclinometer for door guide alignment cut my time in half
I was aligning a set of 10-story hoistway doors in a Boston high-rise last month and used my old bubble level, which took about 3 hours. The super lent me his digital inclinometer, and I redid the same bank in under 90 minutes because it gave me a precise readout instantly. Anyone have a favorite brand for these that can handle the vibration on a running car top?

Got a link to the model he lent you? Need to know if it can handle being on a moving elevator motor.

Actually he didn't lend me a model, he sent me the specs for the vibration dampeners he used. Different thing. The model number wouldn't help you anyway, you need to check the g-force and frequency specs against what your elevator motor puts out. His setup was for a stationary server rack, a moving motor is a whole different ball game.
