A simple trick for getting stubborn blackheads on the nose
I had a regular client with those deep, stuck blackheads on her nose that just wouldn't clear with normal extraction. After two facials with little change, I tried something different last month. I applied a thin layer of my enzyme mask, the Green Tea Peel from Image Skincare, and let it sit for only 5 minutes instead of the full 10. Then, I used a warm, damp washcloth to gently wipe it away with a little circular pressure. The combo of the mild enzyme action and the physical wipe loosened everything up so much that extraction was way easier and cleaner. Has anyone else found a specific product or timing tweak that helps with those stubborn nose pores?

But doesn't the whole point of short contact therapy boil down to getting the benefits without the irritation? @elliot_lane96 has a real point there. If someone's skin is too sensitive for leaving a retinoid on all night, using a stronger one for a few minutes might actually be the smarter play. You get the cell turnover and pore clearing without the redness and peeling. It's like the enzyme trick the OP used - a shorter time with a stronger product did the job better. If your skin throws a fit at regular retinoids, this could be worth testing on just one area first.

Have you considered that short contact therapy with a stronger retinoid might be more effective long term than manual extraction?

Look, my skin already stages a full revolt if I look at a retinoid jar wrong. Short contact therapy sounds like asking for a chemical burn that writes its own apology note. I'll stick with the extractions, because at least that pain is over fast and I can see the little jerk that caused it.
