Can we talk about the number of times you've recommended a product before you actually try it?
I was cleaning out my treatment room cabinet and found a bottle of that green tea and licorice root serum I've been telling clients about for calming redness, and I realized I've suggested it 47 separate times over the past year. I finally put some on my own irritated skin after a sunburn last weekend, and wow, the cooling effect was way more intense than I expected from the description. How often do you guys actually test drive a product before it becomes a go-to recommendation?

My buddy at the salon swore by this new clay mask for months. Turns out he'd never even opened the jar, just liked the box art. We made him try it and he broke out in hives.

Wow that's a pretty wild story but honestly it kinda sounds like your buddy was just asking for it haha. If you're gonna pretend to use something for months based on box art you probably shouldn't be surprised when your skin rebels against the mystery goo. Maybe the hives were just his karma catching up to him for lying about face masks.

Breaking out in hives is rough, but is it really the mask's fault? Could be he touched something else that day. Sometimes a reaction is just bad luck, not a bad product.
