I used to think chemical peels were too harsh for sensitive skin, but a client's 8-week transformation changed my mind.
She had mild rosacea and we did a series of 4 gentle lactic acid peels, and the reduction in baseline redness was huge. Has anyone else had success with a specific acid for redness-prone clients?

Saw my friend's rosacea calm down a lot after she tried some azelaic acid stuff.

Oh nice, @mia_fox98! Azelaic acid is great for the redness and bumps, but it's not a cure-all. My derm said it's more for the inflammatory part, not the permanent broken blood vessels. For that, you'd need lasers. Still, seeing that calming effect is a huge win for daily care.

The timing of azelaic acid matters more than people talk about. My derm told me it works best when skin's pH is around 5.5 which is right when you first wash your face, so using it before moisturizer makes a bigger difference. Also you have to stick with it for like 3 months minimum to see if it's even working, most people give up way too early. Did your friend wait that long before deciding if it helped her?
