Rant: I thought LED masks were a total gimmick until I tried one for a month

A client in my chair kept raving about her Omnilux mask, so I finally borrowed one to test it. After using it for 30 days straight (10 minutes a night), the redness around my nose and chin was basically gone. I'm still not sold on all the wild claims, but for calming inflammation, it actually works. What's another tool you were totally wrong about?

I read a deep dive on LED masks that said the red light really does help with inflammation at a cellular level. It made me less skeptical about the whole thing, even if some brands overhype the anti-aging stuff. The science seems solid for calming skin down.

Wait, you're telling me a mask that literally just shines light on your face actually does something for inflammation at a cellular level? Like, we're not talking about snake oil here, it's actual science? I always figured those things were a total scam, just another way for beauty companies to separate people from their money. But if the deep dive was solid and showed real proof for calming skin down, that's wild. My sister has rosacea and she's tried everything, creams, prescriptions, even cutting out coffee. Maybe I should actually look into this instead of just rolling my eyes at it.

Tried one for my rosacea flare-ups last year and it was a game changer. The constant redness on my cheeks went down after a few weeks of regular use. It didn't erase fine lines or anything, but my skin just felt less angry and reactive.
