That $300 microcurrent device I bought three years ago is just collecting dust now

I got sucked into the hype back in 2021 when everyone was raving about at-home microcurrent for lifting and toning. Dropped $300 on a popular brand device, used it maybe six times total. The problem was I never stuck with it long enough to see results, plus the gel they recommend is sticky and messy. Then I found out the conductive gel has to be a specific formula or the device won't work right, and I was too lazy to keep ordering it. Now it's sitting in a drawer while I just get regular facials from my coworker for the same effect. Anyone else have an expensive beauty tool they regret buying?

Oh man, I feel called out because my nightstand drawer is basically a graveyard of expensive beauty gadgets I swore I'd use. That microcurrent thing sounds like the perfect setup for someone with more discipline than me, which is basically everyone. I bought one of those LED light masks during a late night online shopping spree and used it twice before realizing I'd rather just sit in the sun for ten minutes like a lazy houseplant. But hey, at least yours came with the added fun of hunting down special goo so the thing doesn't short out on your face.

Yeah I got a face roller thing I barely touched. Complete waste.
