Got yelled at in the grocery checkout line for putting bread on the conveyor belt wrong.
Some woman behind me at the Harris Teeter on Main Street went off because I laid my loaf flat instead of standing it upright. Has anyone else run into these weird checkout line rules that apparently everyone but me knows about?
The thing is, that belt probably has a sensor that expects bread to land a certain way so it doesn't get jammed or ripped. Worked at a bakery for two summers and we had to place everything on the left side or the machine would freak out and stop.
