Had to choose between the 7am ferry and the 9am one to get to work on time yesterday

Took the early one and got stuck behind a truck carrying hay bales for 20 miles on the 101. Has anyone else ever gambled on a ferry timeslot and immediately regretted it?

Wait have you ever actually had to drive past a truck with loose hay on the highway before? Because those bales fall off all the time and I swear highway patrol never does anything about it till someone crashes. Bet you spent the whole drive watching your rearview mirror praying one didn't tumble off and turn your morning into a insurance claim. At least with the geese you can honk and they eventually move but hay bales just sit there like they own the road. 9am ferry probably had you rolling into work with time to grab coffee and everything.

Did you at least think about jumping off and rolling with the hay bales? 😂 I took the 7am once and got stuck behind a parade of geese crossing the road. Worst commute ever.
