My grandma's odd trick for folding fitted sheets actually works
Most folks claim fitted sheets can't be folded neatly, but I learned a different way. You have to flip one corner inside out and match it to the opposite one. After practicing, my sheets look store-bought flat. It's kinda satisfying to prove the common belief wrong.

Wait, that's not really an odd trick though, that's just how you fold them. The inside out corner thing is the standard method, it's in every tutorial. What makes a difference for me is doing it on a big flat surface like a bed instead of trying to hold it up in the air. My mom showed me that part. Once you get the muscle memory it's easy, but I still hate doing it more than any other laundry.

Actually, @claire_hall, your point about the bed reminds me of when I tried to fold sheets on the floor and my dog kept lying on them. It turned into a whole thing where I had to bribe him with treats to move. Now I just wait until he's napping to do any laundry folding. Muscle memory doesn't help when you've got a pet messing up your work. Sometimes I think pets just know when you're trying to get something done and decide to help in their own way.
