My grocery store self-checkout argued with me over a banana
The machine kept beeping for a weight check because I placed a single banana on the scale. Half my family says I should have called for help, the other half thinks stubbornly trying different angles is the only way. Where do you stand on battling automated checkout systems?

Once had a scanner throw a fit because I dared to buy a bag of air, aka potato chips. It kept yelling 'unexpected item in bagging area' until I held the bag up like a trophy. Ended up doing a little dance with it, moving it on and off the scale until the machine gave up. The cashier watching probably thought I was insane, but sometimes you gotta fight the good fight. Felt like I won a tiny victory over our robot overlords that day.

Your win over robot overlords seems off, @patel.quinn. That scanner was just trying to stop people from cheating the scale.
