My neighbor's cat has started bringing me the same type of leaf every morning for three weeks straight.

It's always a maple leaf, and she drops it right on my welcome mat before staring at me through the glass door. I used to just toss them, but now I have a small pile on my kitchen counter because it feels rude not to keep them. Has anyone else had an animal start a weirdly specific gift-giving routine?

@palmer.laura probably got the better deal with those bottle caps. My backyard is about 50% leaf now and I keep finding slugs in my pockets. At this rate I'll be paying someone to take them away by February.
