Serious question, did anyone ever actually find their lost keys in the last place they looked?
I spent years convinced my keys were always just misplaced in a coat pocket or under a pile of mail. Then my wife pointed out that I find them in the first place I look after I stop panicking and think for a second, like on the hook behind the bathroom door where I hung them after bringing in groceries. Has anyone else noticed this weird pattern?

Hang on, that's actually a classic logic joke. You always find them in the last place you look because you stop looking once you find them. The real trick is what you said, remembering to check the obvious spots first before you spiral. My brain always jumps to "they fell into a black hole" instead of the kitchen counter.
